ARCO Arena was constructed in 1988, and has had the same name since day one. If you are to visit Sacramento, California it is safe to say that you would come across ARCO Arena sooner or later. This is easily one of the most recognizable and popular indoor venues in the entire city.

Although ARCO Arena is not one of the newest venues of its kind, it is one of the best in the NBA. The Sacramento Kings play their home games at this venue, and over the years fans have learned how to give their team a great home court advantage. The only other team to play its home games at ARCO Arena is the WNBA's Sacramento Monarchs.

The only real drawback of ARCO Arena is its smaller size. For basketball games, the seating capacity is only 17,300. This is even smaller for events such as soccer games when the capacity drops to approximately 10,000. But of course, the smaller capacity makes for a better atmosphere for the fans.

But although sporting events are popular at Arco Arena, this is not all it is used for. In addition, concerts and other shows are also common place at Arco Arena. The four largest crowds in Arco Arena history came in 1995 when Christian Evangelist Billy Graham came to town. This just goes to show that Arco Arena can be used for much more than sporting events.

ARCO Arena is always hosting a wide variety of events. If you are an NBA fan, you will definitely have a good time at this arena. But remember, when the Kings and Monarchs are not in town, there are other events at ARCO Arena that are sure to get you excited.
